Joshua E. Medellin is an associate attorney at the Law Offices of Yasha Ahoubim, bringing over 10 years of dedicated hands-on experience in personal injury law now aimed at advocating zealously for California, Nevada, and Texas residents harmed by negligence, defective products, or unfair insurance practices. His career began in 2015 at a prominent high-volume Los Angeles personal injury firm known for recovering hundreds of millions for victims of car accidents, truck collisions, premises liability, slip-and-falls, and other serious injuries; there, as an Intake Specialist, he handled case evaluations, client intake, preliminary investigations into causation, and medical treatment evaluation and coordination. Joshua thereafter founded his own investigative service, specializing in investigative support to personal injury law firms across Los Angeles County, which further deepened his expertise in case investigations, evidence gathering, and case assessment. His path continued with case management roles at top respected California personal injury firms known for achieving significant multi-million-dollar outcomes in cases involving trucking accidents, car crashes, spinal and traumatic brain injuries, wrongful death, and other life-altering claims. In this position, he was closely involved in the day-to-day of each case: meeting with clients to understand each accident and its collateral impact, coordinating and organizing the medical providers and records, police reports, and witness accounts. Through this steady, attentive work, Joshua focused on helping clients get back on their feet. His experience culminated as a Pre-litigation Attorney at a nationally recognized, multimillion-dollar corporate plaintiff firm that aggressively represents hundreds of thousands of accident and serious injury victims; in this role, Joshua’s led team managed 300-500 cases simultaneously, handled everything from intake to demand writing, negotiations with insurance companies to achieve favorable pre-litigation resolutions. This consistent progression across leading firms has given Joshua thorough insight into every stage of personal injury claims making him particularly well-prepared to deliver effective, client-focused representation.

 

Joshua’s legal education includes a Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School, where he gained early advocacy experience in the Immigration Law Clinic, representing underrepresented clients in complex applications (U-Visa, adjustment of status, Special Juvenile Immigrant Status) through client interviews, investigations, declaration drafting, and strategy development.
